Is Steven Tyler Quitting Aerosmith?

Multiple reports are surfacing that Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has quit his position as lead singer of the legendary rock band

Tyler encountered alot of injuries this year, including a broken shoulder in August after falling off the stage while performing, and guitarist Joe Perry says the two weren’t in contact for a  month after the accident!

Perry has informed reporters that Tyler has “quit as far as I can tell.”

He continues: “I don’t know any more than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”

Perry explained that Tyler has been avoiding the group’s phone calls for months now, but Joe has “learned to live with it.”

“Frankly, the last few months I’ve been wanting not to rock the boat. I don’t want him cancelling any more gigs,” tells Joe. “We just kind of didn’t want to call him out or anything and get him anymore pissed off, for whatever reason. So we just let things lie.”

Perry says Aerosmith has all plans to continue without Tyler and are looking for a new singer, not to replace Steven, rather to “move the Aerosmith… vibe up a notch.”
