Although we’re barely into Summer, looking forward to the Autumn/ Winter 2010/2011 trends will help prep your wardrobes (and purses!) so you can make savvy choices to last… even when the weather takes a turn.
This Fall’s Paris Couture collections showcased a host of trends. We saw more glitz than Ke$sha’s hair, nudes, loud prints, dominatrix leather and power shapes. Infusing these into our own wardrobes couldn’t be any easier and a few simple purchases will help take you from decadent drab to fashion fab- as this week, we show you how to achieve that coveted luxe style.
Chanel 2010 Ankle Boot
Chanel Mastermind, Karl Lagerfield, championed Luxe and Prussia in his Couture Collection. Fine, form fitting fabrics were seen everywhere- Tweed, Brocade, Silks and fine embroidery were all featured. Getting the look right is difficult but paramount. You can either look the height of sophistication- think Gossip Girl/Olivia Palermo, or look like a Hot Mess Grandma!
Double breasted embellishments were stylish, yet powerfully practical and warm. The look however, was a clear growth from the military styles seen last year- so ladies, just as Chezza ditched Ash, we too must ditch the millitary look she triumphed last year, sorry!

Judging from Fall previews, decorative cuffs, powershaping and clothes contouring- (think shoulder pads), should still be in, so channel classic equestrian styling and inject some luxe decadence into your wardrobe and attitude!
Decadence for Summer: think accessories- luxe rings, necklaces and embellished cuffs, hems and lines, power shaping- bodycon, one shoulder. Peep toe ankle, embellished boot, sequins, glitz and jewel colours
